Neuroradiology / Neuro
Imaging
Rolling Oaks Radiology has the only 3T Ultra High Field MRI scanner in the Conejo and Simi Valleys. Rolling Oaks’ advanced Neuroimaging department performs advanced, high resolution head and neck imaging as well as routine brain studies for multiple
sclerosis, chronic headaches, stroke and brain tumors.
Rolling Oaks’ Neuroimaging department includes specialty studies such as NeuroQuant, CSF flow evaluation, NeuroPET, MR Spectroscopy, MR Perfusion, and high resolution head and neck imaging.
NeuroQuant aids in the 3D enhanced analysis of portions of the brain which can potentially be helpful in the prediction and/or diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease.
CSF flow studies are used to evaluate the flow of the cerebrospinal fluid of the brain in those suffering from dementia, incoordination, unsteadiness and/or incontinence. CSF studies can help determine whether surgery or a shunt would be helpful in these cases.
NeuroPET also allows evaluation for brain degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease and frontal temporal dementia through physiological imaging. In addition, insight into some psychiatric disorders may be possible with NeuroPET.
MR Spectroscopy and MR Perfusion can be very helpful in evaluating cases with possible brain tumors. Together, MR Spectrospcopy and MR Perfusion may potentially differentiate malignant tumors versus infarcts, metastatic lesions versus gliomas, and necrosis caused by radiation therapy versus tumor.
High resolution head and neck imaging is also performed at ROR with our 3T MRI and 64 slice CT scanners to evaluate for head and neck masses, cranial nerve abnormalities, and subtle temporal bone disorders.
At Rolling Oaks Radiology we have dedicated trained Radiologist in all aspects of Neuroimaging to optimize care. All Neuroimaging exams done at our facilities are interpreted by radiologists that are experienced in the evaluation of Neuro pathology.
