As Rolling Oaks Radiology is a leader in advanced radiological imaging and we have board certified radiologists with fellowship training in cardiac imaging, we have been chosen as a research site for the PROMISE TRIAL which is a large randomized study comparing the prognostic value of an anatomic based imaging study, cardiac CT angiography (CCTA), with a physiological study such as a nuclear cardiac stress exam (MIBI).  

This important study will try and answer whether a cardiac CT angiogram may be the test of choice when evaluating patients with an intermediate probability of having coronary artery disease and wanting information about the patient’s chances of having future major adverse cardiac events.  

You may want to ask your physician if you would be a candidate for being included in this important national research study, as this study may prove to be a pivotal study addressing what diagnostic study provides the more useful information about the future risks of major adverse cardiac events (MACE).
