As president of Rolling Oaks Radiology he has a range of responsibilities, including leading the Women’s and Men’s Imaging Departments. Dr. Princenthal has seen the difference in patient outcomes that an early, accurate diagnosis of cancer provides. This is why he has been instrumental in bringing some of the most advanced, cancer detecting technologies, including Prostate MRI, to Ventura County patients and referring physicians.

Dr. Princenthal experience in early detection for various cancers encouraged him to explore improved imaging options to detect cancer unique to men. In 2009, Dr. Princenthal was mentored by Peter Choyke, MD (NIH) and Jelle Barentsz, MD, (Holland) the leading experts in Prostate MRI. The knowledge he gained from these world-renowned physicians propelled him to bring the latest prostate imaging techniques to Ventura County.

Invivo Corporation recognized this and selected Rolling Oaks Radiology as a beta site for their MRI computer assisted detection (CAD) software in 2009. The center was then chosen to be one of the first five radiology centers to perform MR guided prostate biopsy.

Currently, Dr. Princenthal is a consultant to GE Healthcare to improve their prostate MRI 3T imaging protocols. He is also a consultant to Invivo, and has helped establish a MRI/TRUS fusion program utilizing UroNav for a major urology practice in Beverly Hills. He has read more than 3,000 prostate MRI studies.
